TRAIL RUN IDEAS ?

We don't have any planned runs for the next few weeks yet. We noted Eilings Park for Feb 3, but this probably isn't a good idea as we don't have a route identified yet. Please respond with your preferences for trail runs and we can book them for the next few weeks.

Afternoon ladies. The rains kept me indoors today - not sure who made it out this morning.
I sent an email message but I'll follow up with a thought. Any chance we could push the start time to 9:00 a.m.? More sleep-in time and "drive to destination" time.
Next week - Susanne I have have scheduled to go to the Trail Runners Sunday run in the Santa Monica mountains - 10 miles, starts at 6:55 a.m. - anyone up for it? Susanne might be going out the country and if so, I'm not going alone.
Suggestions for future: Ellwood Beach, San Ysidro, Cold Springs, OR find back country runs.
Also, maybe our group runs are every 2 weeks, not every weekend, so that we don't get burnt out on the local SB trails. Just a thought.

I dodged the trip to Switzerland, and I'm definitely up for the Trail Runners Sunday run.
I'd prefer to run every weekend rather than just every 2 weeks. Since our schedules are so busy, trying to meet every week will give us a better chance of getting out there. Even if for an individual person that might mean running just every 2 weeks, it just gives us more flexibility.
As to starting at 9, personally I'd prefer 8 (I'm up anyway, since Zoe is such an early riser).

I checked the Trail Runners website to make sure that this weekend was on (weather). We meet at the trailhead at 7 a.m. on Sunday, which is a 6 a.m. Santa Barbara departure. It is a 10.3 loop course. Me, a bit nervous about running/hiking this far because I haven't in FOREVER - so, I'll be slower than usual. It will be a fun morning out. The trail off of Yerba Buena Road, which is about 3.3 miles east of Sycamore Canyon, off PCH (just to give you an idea where we are going.) What a better way to start Super Bowl Sunday - and a guilt free, chiken wing feast! Who's in?

Susanne and I are not going South this Sunday. Basically, I am not ready for a really, long trail run just yet - I haven't put in the miles/time. Susanne was very supportive of my decision, which I appreciate tremendously. So...what should we do on Sunday? Susanne suggested San Ysidro, since no one (other than our rock star Diane!) made it out that day. Or...the back county? 8 a.m. still
